Nia

Moving for Mind, Body, and Soul.

The Body’s Way…

Sense me. Breathe with me.  Awaken to the organic intelligence and love that resides within.  Every part of you is a doorway.  Open to the gifts of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wisdom.

- Debbie Rosas and Carlos AyaRosas, The Nia Technique

Nia is designed to transform our relationships with our bodies, which then, in turn, transforms our relationships with life. It's rooted in anatomy and physiology and features 52 moves based on how the body is designed to move safely and systemically.

It's a fusion art of martial arts, which are about precision, focus, concentration, and readiness; the dance arts, which are about meaning, purpose, and expression; and the healing arts, which are about alignment and subtle awareness of sensations. Together, it makes for a beautiful movement blend.

What's more, in each class, you're surrounded by a welcoming community of people who are there to heal and grow with you.

  • “Life Force Sanctuary is a welcoming, safe, supportive, loving place. Elaine Wolf knows the “missing link” bridging the gap between the physical and the spiritual. She has created extremely affordable programs and opportunities that invite you to “come” to your health via elegantly guided and accessible physical and spiritual activities artfully calibrated to empower you to discover (or more likely rediscover) and cultivate your innate health – the balance and power of a healthy physical and spiritual awareness and practice.”

  • “When was the last time you went to the gym and had fun? I realized most of my exercise routine was static, stretching, weight training, but not dynamic, not enough movement for overall health. Nia offers several benefits: The continuous motion is great cardio. The varied movements improve balance and coordination The routines involve full body motion, great for muscle tone and flexibility But most of all, it doesn’t just feel good, Nia is fun! Nia is not competitive, we aren’t there to out do one another, it’s your motion in your time. You don’t need to be a dancer or an athlete to enjoy Nia.”
